![]() ![]() The front endpapers are an illustrated glossary of the creation of the island and some of the characters while the back endpapers explore how the island works these days - be sure to explore the locations of the different sleepy sands, *grin*. They were so intent on Sandy that it was cute. The kids will enjoy the idea of shooting stars being spaceships, and I did get a kick out of the shell soldiers. Joyce has one heck of an imagination, and I do have to wonder if I should have read Man in the Moon to give this story greater depth. ![]() This would be a good story for children with nightmares - or who need a fascinating idea for a Halloween costume! The focus in The Sandman is all about dreams and where they come from. Second in the Guardians of Childhood fantasy series.
